Jose trying to get "TIPS" from a fellow Triathlete during the January Club Race..

And now we have to fill you in on Jose's "training" and preparations for Boston. Well, it has been a tough road for Jose. Having to deal with his knee injury since before he ran Sacramento in December last year has been grueling (both for him and for me - hahahah). There is something that happens when you go from training hard core, like he was, to not being able to do much. He was pretty much miserable and it has been difficult to get back into it. Even though he is ready and able, he is still having issues with his shinsplints (did I spell this right?) and his legs in general. I think it also has to do with the fact that he has not been training at the level he really wants to (due to the injury) and I think his body is refusing to keep up with him. (I can understand that! - hahahaha) Anyway, this morning he is participating in the February Club Race of the San Diego Tri Club and we'll see how that goes. I hope well. He needs some positive lifting to get back on track. I think all he needs is a good day and it will be all "down hill" from there!! Boston is getting closer and we are really looking forward to going. I hope Jose will be ready for the race and at the level he wants to be at. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. For me personally, I'm looking forward to just being able to get away with my family for a few days. I have been dealing with Roof Leaks, construction workers and trying to get our house back to normal. It is a mess here, which I cannot stand. But, there are worse things in the world obviously and it will all come together. Take care everyone and hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
