Next Race: 50 Mile Ultra Marathon - The Old Goat's Trail

Hello everyone,
Here is another update on Jose's running adventures....
This upcoming Saturday he will be participating in his first Ultra Marathon. The Old Goat's Trail. Here is a brief description of it:
The Old Goat's 50 Mile Trail Race is a modified figure eight course that starts and finishes at Blue Jay Campground, located in the Trabuco region of the Cleveland National Forest. The camp is 22 miles east of San Juan Capistrano, Ca. and 5 miles North of the Ortega Highway (RTE74). The race has over 12,000' of elevation gain and is rated one of the toughest 50 mile trail racesin the Country.
Unfortunately, we are going to have to wait and see how this goes. Jose has a small injury on his heel/foot. Not sure what it is, but I fear it might give him trouble this Saturday, so he's going to give it a shot, but not sure if he'll make the finish line. Well, I think he will make the finish line, but maybe not in the time he wants....heh, finishing a 50 mile race is awesome in itself...I don't know how he does it....speaking of difficulties...I've got a very busy Saturday ahead myself as well. First I have to take the boys to their Soccer and T-Ball games and then aftewards race up to the race finish to hopefully see Jose finish. It will be another crazy day in my life as a "Pena Supporter//Team Mom". How do I do it? Frankly, I have no idea...hahahahahhaha.....but I'm loving every minute of all the memories that are being recoreded in my brain :0) After all the craziness, I'll just retrieve into my garden for an afternoon to gather myself. I know, I'm nuts.....take care everyone...love to you all.....
P.S. Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary.....how time flies..unbelievable...
