We just found out that you will be able to watch the 2008 Boston Marathon Live, which we are very excited about. Of course we wanted to let you know in case any of you wanted to follow the days events and maybe there is a slight chance to spot Jose on TV. You never know :0) Here is the information:
Friends and Families of all 25,000 of this year's entrants will be able to watch the 112th Boston Marathon live from start to finish, locally on WBZ-TV (CBS Channel 4), nationally on VERSUS, and online, for subscribers, at WCSN.com
WBZ (CBS) 8am to 3pm ET
VERSUS 9:30am to 12:30pm ET
WCSN.COM 9:30am - 12:30pm ET
Jose is still training very hard and is able to run 6 1/2 minute miles. He feels good. But we all know we won't know how it will go until during the actual race. The goal is of course to finish the race in one piece, but also I know he really wants to beat his PR, which is 3 hours and 10 minutes. So, we'll see what happens. I've heard the hills are pretty brutal towards the end. I think that is where I will be with the kids to cheer him on. To give him that extra push and motivation to speed it up and go for it. I'll have to see if I can even get there and how I will get to that point, but I'll check it out once we arrive there next weekend.
My grandfather is currently in the hospital with heart problems. He is one of Jose's "international" fans and will be rooting for him on this very special day. It is like a dream for Jose and for me to see him run this incredible course. We can't wait.
